Resident Engineer

Job description / Role

We are looking for a Resident Engineer for a multi-disciplinary Architectural, Project Management & Construction Services and Interior Design company based in Dubai.

The Resident Engineer will participate in the development, execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical aspects of field engineering assignments including development of plans, schedules, contracts, procedures, and construction methods and systems.

• Overall coordination of the entire project management, contractual and technical team.
• Supervising the Contractor’s work to achieve construction in accordance with the contract documents
• Ability to coordinate and monitor all disciplines of work related to the project, this includes both management of the supervision team as well as the contractors, subcontractors and other specialists.
• Uses effective project management and controls systems to regularly report on progress to the client.
• You will also be responsible for reviewing the performance of subcontractors to assure contract compliance, the application of accepted construction technology and standards, and the acceptable standardization of materials and supplies.
• Supervise the construction engineering work and provide technical expertise for one or more of the construction engineering disciplines.
• Issue instructions to contractor for their action to comply with the construction contract time and quality requirements.

Salary:
AED 30000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering
• 10+ years of similar experience in the Design/ Site Supervision/ Construction Management/ Project Management of major projects, High-Rise/ Mixed use Buildings / Residential and Commercial Large projects (set-up/ delivery/ completion/ handover) has run projects start to finish.
• Project management experience a plus (PMI certified preferred).
• Contracts experience (strong working knowledge of FIDIC and other forms of agreements).
• Strong commercial experience (contractor certifications, able to work with the commercial team on commercial issues).
