Position Overview

Stantec is looking to hire a Resident Engineer with experience in water drainage and stormwater networks in Dubai.

The selected candidate shall have a Civil Engineering degree and 20 years of extensive experience working on drainage and stormwater network projects.

Qualifications

• Resident Engineer must have 20 years of experience in drainage and stormwater networks.
• The Resident Engineer must have a degree in civil engineering from a recognized university and must have thoughtful knowledge and work experience of not less than 15 years in infrastructure works.
• Candidate must be able to take on-the-spot decisions and be able to deal with all service authorities.
• Candidate must have thoughtful knowledge and experience in dealing with pipelines, cables, sewers, manholes, VC, WO, AV, connection chambers, and pumping station works, as well as non-disruptive road crossings.
• Candidate must also have thorough knowledge and experience in the design of infrastructure works.
• The Resident Engineer must have full and complete knowledge of the existing infrastructure in the Emirates of Dubai.
• Familiarity with the DM General Conditions of Contract, quality assurance, quantity surveying, and project network techniques (Primavera).
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Primavera.
• Confident in own ability to control the works.
• Excellent written and communication skills (English), time management, and supervisory skills.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare instructions, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Capacity to make decisions.
• Ability to liaise with DM and other infrastructure authorities.
