Resident Engineer

Job description / Role

The Resident Engineer must have comprehensive knowledge of the existing sewerage networks in the Emirate of Dubai. The candidate should be capable of evaluating timelines for emergency works, making on-the-spot decisions, and coordinating effectively with all relevant service authorities.

The role requires strong experience in:
• Sewerage networks, manholes, VC WO, AV chambers, and pumping station rehabilitation works
• Non-disruptive road crossings and road construction
• Design and supervision of stormwater and irrigation works
The candidate shall hold a relevant degree from a recognized university and possess a minimum of 20 years’ experience in a senior-level position.

• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality (DM) General Conditions of Contract
• Knowledge of quality assurance, quantity surveying, and project network techniques (Primavera P3)
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Primavera P3
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong leadership, supervisory, and time management skills
• Ability to prepare instructions, specifications, reports, and cost estimates
• Decisive with strong problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to liaise with DM and service authorities
• Full knowledge of excavation and backfilling methods as per RTA standards
• Knowledge of safety requirements in accordance with DM and RTA standards
• Experience with asphalt and tiles reinstatement as per RTA standards
• Knowledge of NDRC methods
• Valid UAE Driving License
