Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Resident Engineer to join our team based in [City, Country]. This position is responsible for all aspects of the landscaping works, ensuring the successful implementation and completion of the project in line with design specifications, quality standards, and timelines. As a key on-site representative, you will work closely with project managers, designers, and contractors to manage daily operations, monitor progress, and resolve any technical or operational issues.
We envisage success in this role to include:
- Demonstrating extensive knowledge and experience in the execution of civil, infrastructure, building, landscape and irrigation works.
- Ability to make senior level project decisions and liaise with applicable authorities.
- Familiar with the DM General Conditions of Contract, Quality Assurance, Quantity Surveying, and Project Network Techniques.
- Managing and supervising all landscaping activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinating with contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
- Inspecting and assessing the quality of materials, workmanship, and landscape installations, ensuring compliance with approved plans, design documents, and local regulations.
- Maintaining comprehensive site records, daily logs, progress reports, and material inspection reports. Provide regular updates to the project manager regarding progress, issues, and potential delays.
- Addressing and resolving any technical, design, or operational issues that arise on-site, ensuring minimal impact on project schedules.
- Ensuring all landscaping activities are conducted in compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Overseeing on-site landscaping teams, ensuring they are effectively coordinated and that work is completed efficiently and within budget.
Qualifications
- To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 15 years of work experience partnered with a Bachelor degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Horticulture, or a related field.
