Retail General Ledger Accountant

Job description / Role

Client Profile
• Our client is a well-renowned retail operator and we are recruiting an experienced Arabic General Ledger accountant from the UAE mall management industry to join their Abu Dhabi team to be responsible for finalization of account and General Ledger accounting.

The Role
• Prepare monthly financial statement, journal entries and monthly accruals and maintain the general ledger accuracy for revenue, income, payroll and cost allocation
• Analyze P&L and balance sheets and prepare monthly account reconciliations and VAT schedules, reconcile intercompany balances.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience Required
• 6 - 10 years' experience in general ledger accounting with a strong background in preparing financial statements and bank reconciliations and month end close reports for a shopping mall or retail management organisation.
• Experience in managing accounts for multi-company group.
• Proficient use of advanced Excel and Oracle or SAP accounting software.

Education
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting

Candidate Profile
• Arabic national currently living in the United Arab Emirates and able to live in Abu Dhabi.
• Fluent in English and Arabic - must be able to read, write and speak fluent English and Arabic.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
