Retail Operation Manager

Job description / Role

New opportunity has come up for a Retail Operation Manager for a high end fashion retail company based in Dubai. This position will report directly to the Managing Director, in charge of the overall operation of the shop based in Jumeirah.

Other responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Develop business strategies to raise their customers’ pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability
- determine what products get to store shelves, in catalogues, and online and do the footwork, the research and create the deals to buy large quantities of products for the shop
- Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff
- Ensure high levels of customer’s satisfaction through excellent service
- Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc
- Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
- Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
- Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc)
- Be a shining example of well behaviour and high performance

Operating Hours are from 10AM to 10PM, 6 days in a week. As you will be the Store Manager, you may work at any shift but you need to make sure that the shop is operating well and well manned.

Requirements

- A bachelor or university degree holder
- Minimum 4 years of retail experince in the same function
- Fluent in English
- Have sound experrience in manning operation of the shop
- Have good experience in buying retail items
- Willing to travel if needed
