Employment: Full Time

• Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
• Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts; maintaining inventories.

• Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.
• Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
• Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
• Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
• Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
• Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Managing and motivating a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency;
• Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control;
• Analyzing sales figures and forecasting future sales;
• Analyzing and interpreting trends to facilitate planning;
• Using information technology to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planning;
• Dealing with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as
• Providing or organizing training and development;
• Ensuring standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met;
• Resolving health and safety, legal and security issues;
• Responding to customer complaints and comments;
• Organizing special promotions, displays and events;
• Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues;
• Touring the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers and identifying or resolving urgent issues;
• maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing;
• Assisting VIP Customers with private sales activities
• Corresponding directly with VIP and Royal customers
• Maintains etiquette and manners while dealing with VIP customers
• Collecting payment and delivering goods personally to VIP and Royal customers
• Initiating changes to improve the business, e.g. revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete effectively in the local market;
• Promoting the organization locally by liaising with local schools, newspapers and the community in general;
• Dealing with sales, as and when required.

Requirements

Qualification
• High school degree; BS degree in Marketing or Fashion business background, Corporate Retail training and certificates will be also accepted
• Accounting and finance BS degree;
• Business studies BS degree;
• Fashion management BS degree
• Marketing BS degree
• Retail management BS degree

Work Experience
• 5-10 years in a comparable position, with a record of advancement and growth at progressively more responsible levels, preferably with an established international company, or private organization within the GCC.

Skills & Competences
• Retail is a fast-paced environment and managers have to react to consumer's demands and industry trends. Because of this, there is an element of pressure.
• Working hours tend to be long and can impact on your personal life. However, it is rare for a retail manager to have to travel away from their store base, except for meetings and training events.
• Must enforce dress code on all employees and enforce code of conduct
• Enforcing brand guidelines as well as store guidelines
• Effective leadership and the ability to motivate others;
• The ability to plan and prioritize workloads and delegate accordingly;
• Customer target market focused .
• Knowledgeable on the retail environment of the UAE.
• The capacity to grasp new concepts quickly.
• The ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Shrewd business sense and a well-developed commercial awareness.
• A desire to work as part of a team to generate fresh and innovative ideas.
• Experienced in Visual Merchandising practices
• Able to enforce product manuals and training for retail staff.
• Experience with Abaya Retail stores would be preferred.
• English and Arabic language proficiency
