This high growth start-up operating as a 'virtual hotel', offers private residential properties as an alternative to traditional hotels, delivered through the effective management of individual properties on behalf of independent owners.  This firm helps property owners earn increased revenue from their properties by helping them capitalize on the strong demand for corporate and tourist accommodation in Dubai. It’s simple and stress-free, with a focus on customer service.

For their Guests, our client focuses on the management and provision of high standards of accommodation by hand picking each and every property to come under our portfolio.

They take care of guests with complete hospitality services, including checking in/out, offering concierge services, and utilizing  professional cleaning services with fresh linens, towels, and toiletries.

The Opportunity:

Given the rapid growth and development of the business, we require a  Revenue Manager to assist in delivering optimized revenue and occupancy across the  apartments under management. The Revenue Manager is responsible for the development and management of all online and offline distributions channels and for the execution of strategic and tactical revenue strategy; maximizing revenue through effective pricing and inventory management.

Role Summary:

- Responsible for the implementation of e-commerce and revenue management  in order to maximize the turnover in accordance with Company strategies, brand marketing and customer needs.
- Responsible for having all the revenue management processes in place in the business, he/she implements the business strategy on daily basis, updates planning and pricing across a variety of distribution channels, quotes prices and alerts management when market deviates from strategy.
- The function is in charge of helping to reach and beat the operational turnover budget of the business and deliver product into a variety of distribution channels both online and offline. The ongoing management and refinement of listed apartment stocks across distribution channels is a key aspect of the role.
- Pricing analysis and rate management is a critical function of the role.
- The role will also support management in the creation of the strategy (with in depth and structured analysis) and to work effectively with the team to implement the strategy, based on the daily recommendations in the distribution channels.

Role Specific Functions:

- Formulate overall Pricing Structure, provide guidance on corporate negotiated pricing, wholesale pricing and acceptance
- Ensure effective pricing strategies are in place to reflect asset strength relative to the competition in the market
- Effectively manage inventory and pricing strategy through all distribution channels including branded web, 3rd party OTA’s and GDS
- Closely monitor competitive pricing and understand the impact of relative pricing decisions on property performance
- Pro-actively identify soft spot periods and prepare a soft spot revenue management plan
- Drive Market Share and Revenue Performance through proper pricing and mix management
- Identify and develop new sales leads, meet with corporate clients, travel agencies, DMC’s etc to grow offline sales
- Define and implement an agreed sales plan
- Deliver revenue against agreed targets and objectives
- Manage the sales pipeline while building relationships with both new and existing customers
- Identify and implement an appropriate PMS including integration of channel management system and ongoing management of in-house booking engine and third party channels
- Responsible for development and effective implementation of Revenue Management Standards, Policies & Procedures (Rate Plans, Rate Categories, Market Segmentation, Profiles and all other PMS related Revenue Management functionality
- All Rate Solicitations acted upon in a timely manner and rate plans maintained and extended as appropriate. - The Revenue Manager has sole responsibility for the quality of all pricing setup in the PMS system for the hotels under his/her jurisdiction
- Manage all customer interactions from initial inquiry to in-country arrival while liaising with operations to ensure a smooth and prepared handover of guest management on the ground
- Responsible for administration and management of appropriate business analytical tools, and the accuracy of all revenue and sales data as input into the system
- Development and analysis of competitive reports and formulate appropriate strategies through use of appropriate data sets
- Responsible for the preparation of 30-60-90 days forecasts within the Revenue Plan on a monthly basis. Also responsible for preparation of the ‘mid-month forecast, following the close of each calendar month
- Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills
- Provide regular reporting to ensure other team members as well as management are fully informed of the latest actions and information

Level of Education:

- Bachelors Degree

Areas of study:

- Economics, Finance, Accounting, Hospitality Management

Professional experience:

- Minimum 2 years in a revenue management role within a hotel or holiday home operator in the UAE

Languages:

- English (fluent), Arabic (desirable), Russian (desirable)
