Key purpose

To support and create a more risk culture where the contract actively seeks Risk, Quality & Compliance(RQC) input into key decisions and strategies within the Dubai Metro contract.To deliver strategies to improve RQC outcomes, embed frameworks standards, processes and increasevisibility and accountability for strong RQC performance within the contract.

Based on the specific requirement of the role

Key accountabilities

- Sharing learnings, knowledge and capability across the divisional RQC network;
- Provide strategic risk and control advice to the business as required;
- Support the development and maintenance of contract risk assessments, and coordinate ongoingreview and update;
- Input into aggregation and consolidation of contract risk profiles to identify themes for inclusion inthe business unit risk profile;
- Support the conduct of contract process risk assessments and work with process owners toensure that process updates occur on the basis of risk assessment outcomes.
- Support the preparation of Contract Senior Management Team (SMT) and input into Client, ContractBoard and Business Unit the required Risk, Quality and Compliance reporting.
- Support coordination of status updates for all compliance-related corrective actions for the contract;
- Input into business unit regulatory compliance activities;
- Coordinate provision of compliance awareness briefings across the contract and follow up oncompliance activities (e.g. SMS re-certification, Anti-bribery & Corruption);
- Support the oversight / coordination of preparation for contract external audits including readinessreviews, attendance at key meetings and review of report;
- Support maintenance of a quality management system
- Support seeking / maintaining quality management accreditation (as required by the contract);
- Support compliance with Group SMS requirements within the business unit;
- Provide advice and support in relation to business continuity and crisis management;
- Support implementation of ABC requirements within the contract;
- Comply with relevant legislations, policies, procedures and guidelines;
- Take action including the timely reporting of hazards, incidents and injuries to avoid, eliminate orminimise the risk to themselves or others;
- Make proper use of all safety devices and personal protective equipment;
- Not wilfully placing at risk by your acts or omissions the health, safety and welfare of others atthe workplace;
- Seeking information or advice regarding hazards and procedures before carrying out new orunfamiliar work;
- Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures, the location of first aid and emergencypersonnel and equipment, and if appropriately trained, the use of such equipment;
- Participate when required in training and induction programs relating to HSQE;
- Perform and carry out other duties as instructed / directed by the line manager and the Health,Safety, Quality & Environment Director.

SAE Responsibilities and Information Security Responsibilities

- Awareness of the Integrated Management System and the content of the Safety, Assurance Environment and Information Security Policy Statements;
- Understanding of personal responsibilities and contribution to achieving compliance with the Integrated Management System requirements, (including but not limited to competence to perform safety critical roles, legal requirements, control measures arisen from environmental impacts and aspects, job safety analysis and information security risk assessment) and the potential consequences of departure from the arrangements in place to deliver the commitments stated in the policies statements above;
- To exercise their personal duty of care for their own health, safety and welfare and for those affected by the acts or omissions;
- Promote a good SAE and Information Security culture among their peers, subcontractors and third parties;
- Lead by example and look at ways to conserve energy, water and resources and minimise the generation of waste through personal performance and raise recommendations on how to improve existing processes on this regard within/outside their departments through their Line Manager, Departmental Safety Meetings and any other appropriate available channels;
- Protect information assets and data including both electronic and paper based from all threats whether internal, external, deliberate or accidental;
- Promote a good SAE and Information Security culture among their peers, subcontractors and third parties;

Requirements

Essential technical and professional skills, knowledge and qualifications

Knowledge

- Ideally a degree holder and a certified risk management professional;
- Holds a certificate in auditing and safety;
- Knowledge of railway organisational structures and standards, workflows, procedures and terminology (Preferred)

Skills

- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Commercial and financial intelligence;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Ability to write technical and audit reports, routine business correspondence and prepare methodstatements as required;
- Possess good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and workproductively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment;
- Strong organisational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities;
- Internal customer service orientation;
- Sound computer skills particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
- Hold a valid UAE driving license with a good driving skill and experience

Experience

- Minimum 3 years, preferably 5 years, of work experience as a certified Risk&Compliance professional preferably in the transport industry;
- Experience in auditing principles and practice;

- Ensure compliance with the Serco Management System and all relevant business processes, procedures and work instructions to deliver all work with appropriate quality and governance standards

- Ensure compliance with all training requirements of Serco and ensure adherence to these requirements always whilst in employment
