Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Establish and set up Risk Management function from the scratch
- Assists the board of directors and the CEO to establish and communicate ERM objectives and direction
- Assists management with integrating risk management with the strategy development
- Assists the audit and risk committee and CEO to develop and communicate risk management policies, risk appetite and risk limits
- Assists in developing risk mitigation strategies for the group critical risks and for monitoring risks
- Establishes, communicates and facilitates the use of ERM methodologies, tools and techniques
- Chair the risk management working group
- Partnering with the executive directors and senior management team within the group to identify and quantify operational, financial, reputational and regulatory risks across group departments, processes, subsidiaries and entities and continuously improve risk management capabilities
- Facilitate enterprise-wide risk assessments and monitors priority risks across the group
- Provide and independent view regarding proposed high level business plans
- Develop project risk management capabilities within the group.
- Identify and prioritize key areas of risk, develop and monitor mitigation and recovery plans
- Assist in developing and monitoring risk mitigation strategies for the group’s critical risks

Requirements

- University Degree in Management, Finance, Logistics,
- MBA or post graduate diploma in Risk Management is preferred.
- International Qualifications in Enterprise Risk Management like IRM, FRM, CERA, CRM
- Related experience of 12 -15 years risk management experience out of which the last five years would be Director or Head of Risk Management in a large diversified organization or group including courier, postal or logistics services industry, knowledge of financial services i.e. exchange houses and money remittances is preferred.
- In depth knowledge of ERM principles and philosophy ability to think strategically.
- Strong, persuasive and results oriented personality who can communicate with senior management team as well as other members of the group to drive the ERM and ensure that risk mitigation plan are timely implemented
- Comprehensives risk management experience
- Ability to analyze and interpret large volumes of data
- Excellent presentation and communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and management ability in a complex organizations
- Sound business, operational and financial judgement with problem solving abilities
- Exceptional oral written and interpersonal skills
- Experience in using and implementing risk management software used in (GRC).
