Rooms Controller

You will be Responsible for managing the assignment of rooms and supports the front office by serving as the liaison between Sales, Housekeeping and the Front office. They will handle VIP assignments, pending room communication, execute room moves, facilitate guest room amenity deliveries; all while also acting as a front desk agent to cover agents' breaks and answer internal and external calls throughout their shift.

Job Responsibility

- Rooms controllers have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
- Monitoring occupancy rates, pricing structures, and competitors' room rates to ensure that the hotel's revenue goals are being met
- Reviewing room inventory reports to determine if additional rooms need to be added to accommodate increasing demand
- Reporting financial results to senior management regarding room revenues and expenses
- Ensuring that all taxes are collected and paid on time, including sales tax, room tax, and occupancy tax
- Creating detailed reports on occupancy rates, accounting for changes in rates, and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Investigating guest complaints about room quality or service issues
- Authorizing refunds for guests who are dissatisfied with their stay or who have been overcharged
- Supervising housekeeping staff to ensure that rooms are cleaned properly and efficiently
