Safety Manager

Job description / Role

* Keeping records for all HSE incidents
* Ensure a Risk Register is available
* Develop a Safety Campaign
* Ensure there is an adequate reporting process in place
* Ensures safety training is provided to all employees
* Establishes the PPE requirements throughout the facility
* Set Safety KPIs for the departments to achieve
* Set Safety Targets and objectives for the company
* Implementing Procedures and controls for safety
* Ensure the suitable PPE is available for the tasks carried out
* Carry out risk assessments for high risk activities and ensure there are controls put in place
* Carry out Risk assessments for every new equipment.
* Ensure the employees are aware of the risks involved with their tasks
* Ensure all incidents are reported and a record kept
* Conduct a Safety Meeting on a monthly basis
* Ensure all incidents are investigated for immediate and root causes
* Conducts regular safety tours to identify potential hazards and unsafe behaviour
* Assists other departments to raise safety awareness


* You will have a minimum of a NEBOSH certificate whilst a candidate with a NEBOSH diploma or equivalent would be preferred.
* 6+ years’ experience in a similar role as a Safety Manager
* Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards with regard to construction
* Ability to train, influence and motivate team members
