Job description / Role
We are currently looking for a Safety/Security Officer whose tasks are (but not limited to):
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures to meet regulatory and company requirements
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and investigations to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
• Provide safety training and education to employees and contractors
• Monitor and report on safety performance, including incident rates and near-misses
• Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
• Coordinate and participate in emergency response planning and drills
• Communicate safety information and updates to employees and contractors
• Maintain accurate records of safety training and incidents
• Supervise & manage the in-house team of Security Guards, generate daily reports & activities of the security team
Requirements
Ideal Candidate will have:
• NEBOSH certification (a must)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a safety role in buildings/construction
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
