Safety Officer

Job description / Role

The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing the company's Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies, ensuring compliance with client and consultant requirements, and fostering a proactive safety culture. This role focuses on hazard identification, risk mitigation, training, and continuous monitoring to achieve the company's goal of zero accidents.

- Implement and enforce the company's OHS policy without any deviations.
- Identify hazards and associated risks in work tasks and establish control measures to eliminate or mitigate risks.
- Promote a zero-accident safety objective through rigorous monitoring and proactive initiatives.
- Encourage and develop workers' skills in practicing safe work habits.
- Conduct regular site monitoring, inspections, and audits to ensure safety compliance.
- Organize and deliver internal training sessions and induction programs for new employees and workers.
- Maintain compliance with client and consultant safety standards and requirements.

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role in the infrastructure industry
- Certification: NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is mandatory.

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of OHS regulations and risk management strategies.
- Excellent communication and training skills to promote safety culture.
- Proficiency in conducting safety audits and preparing reports.

Salary:
AED 4,000 to 6,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
