Job description / Role
Title - Sales Engineer
Purpose
The Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technical solutions and customer needs. This role involves understanding client requirements, designing appropriate solutions (IT infrastructure, ELV systems, AV/VC solutions, networking, and security), preparing proposals and BOQs, and supporting the sales team in closing opportunities. The Sales Engineer is expected to engage with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure that proposed solutions are technically sound, cost-effective, and aligned with project goals.
Work Overview
• Conduct research to identify new markets and sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media
• Actively use the CRM system to log opportunities, track activities, update deal stages, and manage tasks.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions, follow-ups, and proposal submissions.
• Understand client requirements through meetings, site visits, and technical discussions.
• Design tailored solutions for IT infrastructure, ELV, AV/VC, wireless, and security systems.
• Prepare BOQs, solution designs, and technical documentation aligned with customer needs and budget.
• Support the preparation of commercial proposals, RFP responses, and bid submissions.
• Deliver technical presentations and demos to clients to communicate solution benefits clearly.
• Address client concerns with technical justification and suggest viable alternatives when needed.
• Stay updated on market trends, product developments, and competitor offerings.
• Attend vendor and partner training sessions to enhance solution capabilities.
• Maintain technical certifications and knowledge to support a consultative sales approach.
Requirements:
• Must have strong English communication both written and verbal.
• Technically confident, customer-facing, and socially adept.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in pre-sales or sales engineering within ELV, IT infrastructure, or AV/VC solutions.
• Proficiency in CRM tools.
• Strong technical knowledge in areas including structured cabling, CCTV, access control, AV solutions, and networking.
• Solid experience with solution costing, proposal creation, and BOQ generation.
• Technically confident, customer-facing, and socially adept.
• High attention to detail, excellent time management, and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Must hold a valid UAE driving license and be comfortable with client visits and site surveys.
Salary:
AED
8,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
