Sales Executive

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Salesman to drive sales of marble and related products for construction projects, including sills, with a focus on projects requiring expansion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the construction materials sales industry, specifically with marble, and a strong understanding of project requirements, expansion considerations, and client relationship management. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of identifying opportunities, developing solutions, and closing deals.

Responsibilities:
• Sales Generation: Actively pursue and generate new leads through networking, cold calling, site visits, and referrals within the construction industry (contractors, architects, developers).
• Project Qualification: Identify and qualify potential projects, understanding their scope, budget, timeline, and specific marble requirements, including expansion needs.
• Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain expert knowledge of our marble products, including various types, finishes, applications, and technical specifications, especially related to expansion joints and installation techniques for large-scale projects.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (architects, contractors, developers) to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Proposal Preparation: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and quotations, clearly outlining the value proposition and addressing any technical considerations related to expansion.
• Negotiation & Closing: Effectively negotiate contract terms and pricing to maximize profitability while ensuring client satisfaction. Close deals and achieve sales targets.
• Order Processing & Follow-up: Coordinate with the internal team (production, logistics) to ensure timely order processing and delivery. Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify potential repeat business.
• Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential new business opportunities.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate sales records and provide regular reports on sales activities, progress, and market insights.
• Technical Understanding: Possess a good understanding of construction processes and be able to discuss technical aspects of marble installation, particularly concerning expansion joints and movement in large-scale projects.
• Problem Solving: Address client concerns and resolve any issues that may arise, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Following up payments with projects and collecting payments on time

Qualifications:
• Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in sales within the construction materials industry, specifically with marble or natural stone.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of marble types, finishes, applications, and installation techniques, with a specific understanding of expansion joint systems and considerations for large-scale projects.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry professionals.
• Sales Acumen: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and closing deals.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
• Driving License: Valid driving license.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
