Sales - Group Coordinator

We are currently seeking for passionate and dynamic guest focused Sales professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests.

What you will be doing:

- Handle all incoming calls and emails related to MICE groups and Leisure Groups inquiries to ensure that all leads are addressed.
- Assess the requirements and the competition for each group lead before sending a proposal to the client.
- Analyse group requests, check the availability in the respective hotels, block rooms & space, prepare and send group quotations to all local and overseas Travel Agents / PCO's / Corporate Accounts / DMC's and Incentive houses.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates for the Group log and that all leads are tracked and followed up on.
- Upload all group room blocks and their event requirements in Opera system and manage the groups till the handover to the property team at the phase of contracting.
- Audit the market segments for each blocks created and the Hotel level to make sure all enquiries are logged and tracked as per the SOP's.
- Actively take part in the departmental briefings, Sales Blitz, telesales activities and 'bring back old business' actions as requested by the Department Head.

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- Degree in the hospitality field with previous experiences within the Groups Department within a hotel.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiations skills are essentials.
- Expert in Microsoft Office and experienced working with Opera are required.
- Customer driven and with an extremely proactive and focused personality and an outgoing, charismatic and approachable character.
- Display a high level of professionalism with a high degree of impact and influence within all levels of operations.
- Knowledge in understanding Hotel Operations
