Sales Manager - Middle East and Africa – Consumer Product Ingredients

Responsible for the maintenance and development of business (Hygiene, Preservation and Personal care) at assigned accounts/territory (Middle East and Africa).

Additionally, responsible for implementing sales strategies and providing support to marketing efforts that will result in achievement of business team objectives as outlined in business strategies and annual plan.

Key measurables include meeting/exceeding both sales revenue and margin targets

Primary Role Responsibilities
• Primary as Account Manager representing Client on customer related matters; providing superior customer service by establishing and maintaining customer contact; identifying customers’ needs; and responding by aligning Clients technologies to meet those needs. Develop close working relationships at all key levels within the customer organization..
• Achieve or exceeds annual plan for net Sales and Margins for assigned accounts/territory.
• Collaborate with Business Unit members to negotiate and establish price actions with customers, and manage commercial contracts based on strategic plan and market conditions.
• Continuously monitor, analyze, and report on: a) Competition, b) New Opportunities in SFDC, c) Regulatory Environment
• Manage Distributors, if in assigned territory, according to established policies pertaining to the distribution sales program. Coordinate activities with “partner” distributors and Sales, Marketing and Product management.
• Project Management: manage the IPM and technical service process at assigned targeted accounts to acquire new business and new projects. Coordinate with Technical, Production and Regulatory personnel for successful implementation and follow up of new projects.
• Maintains a forecast of customer product requirements in the SAP system.
• Coordinate as necessary with overseas colleagues on Multi-national accounts.

Requirements

Quality Responsibility: Maintenance of ISO 9000:2000 certifications for the businesses by complying with processes, procedures and instructions for all activities in which this role participates.

Safety Responsibility: Is knowledgeable and complies with all pertinent safety policies, rules and regulations.

Skill Requirements
• Technical and Sales background in Hygiene, Disinfection, Preservation, Personal Care is preferred
• BS in a related technical area w/8-10 years experience in sales, marketing or technical service.
• MS/MBA with 5-8 years of experience in sales, marketing or technical service.
• Fluent in English; other languages like German or French is a plus.
• Travel 40-60%
