Job Description

The role of Sales Manager CORPORATE / MICE is to drive profitable business growth for the hotel. Key outputs are for you to acquire and manage Corporate / MICE accounts for the hotel, achieve sales targets, deliver market leading performance, ensure Sofitel Dubai Downtown is the first choice for assigned Corporate clients, Event planners & MICE agencies. Develop and foster business through pro-active direct sales, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls and tours of the hotel and develops strategic action plans for the hotel to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue. Identifies areas of opportunity and recommends tools and sales training to optimize performance.

- Conducts daily sales calls and arrange site inspection trips to hotel for Corporate / MICE clients.
- Able to provide quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties, develop professional long term business relationships.
- Able to support hotel's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
- Works closely with Revenue department to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotel.
- Develops strong relationships with on property front office team to ensure working in unity and always striving to achieve the same goals.
- Manage a portfolio of accounts
- Update ANAIS systems with the meeting outcomes
- Maintain an accurate database and communication

Requirements

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

- Relevant sales experience.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic. French is an added advantage.
