SAP Test Manager and PMO Support

Job description / Role

The SAP Test Manager and PMO Support is responsible for managing the testing phases of SAP projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables by leading the testing strategy, execution, and reporting. This role involves overseeing test planning, test execution, and defect management while supporting the Project Management Office (PMO) with project planning, tracking, and reporting activities. The ideal candidate will have strong SAP testing experience and excellent organizational skills to support both the SAP testing process and project management efforts.

SAP Test Management:
• Lead and manage the SAP testing activities for SAP implementation, upgrades, and support projects, ensuring that all testing efforts align with project timelines and business objectives.
• Work with Suppliers to deliver a cohesive test delivery.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy, including test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, and test cases for functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Coordinate with various stakeholders (e.g., business analysts, functional leads, and developers) to understand business requirements and ensure that the test cases are comprehensive and cover all critical scenarios.
• Oversee the execution of tests across different environments (e.g., development, quality assurance, and production), managing defect tracking, prioritization, and resolution with relevant teams.
• Ensure the proper execution of automated and manual test cases, monitoring test progress, and reporting on test results to ensure all defects are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
• Coordinate and lead UAT, ensuring that the business users validate the system according to project requirements and business needs.

Test Environment and Tools Management:
• Manage and maintain SAP test environments, ensuring that all required configurations are in place and the environments are stable and available for testing activities.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure that testing tools, environments, and hardware are set up and maintained according to the test plan requirements.
• Evaluate and implement testing tools (manual and automated) to enhance the testing process, including test management software, defect tracking systems, and automated testing tools.
• Ensure that testing environments are properly configured for different testing phases (e.g., functional, integration, performance testing) and business requirements.

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
• Ensure that the testing process follows best practices and industry standards, continuously improving processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Drive the establishment of quality metrics and KPIs for SAP testing, ensuring that the testing process is aligned with project requirements and that project deliverables meet quality expectations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the overall improvement of SAP testing strategies, methodologies, and practices.
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects, identify recurring issues, and provide recommendations for improvement in future testing efforts.

PMO Support:
• Provide support to the PMO in managing project schedules, resources, and overall project performance by providing regular updates on testing progress and issues.
• Assist with the development of project management plans, including project timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and SAP implementation strategies.
• Maintain and update project tracking tools, ensuring all testing activities, milestones, and deliverables are captured and visible to the PMO and project stakeholders.
• Provide detailed status reports and dashboards to the PMO and other stakeholders, highlighting key risks, issues, and progress related to testing activities.
• Assist the PMO with managing project documentation, ensuring that all test-related documents, reports, and deliverables are maintained and properly archived.
• Support change management activities by ensuring that any scope changes, testing timelines, or resource adjustments are captured, tracked, and communicated to relevant stakeholders.

KEY COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience (5 years) in SAP testing, with a focus integrations, and SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong experience in managing and leading test planning, execution, and reporting in a project-based environment.
• Proficiency in SAP test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, Jira, SAP Solution Manager, or others).
• Experience with SAP testing methodologies and frameworks (e.g., UAT, regression testing, integration testing).
• Strong understanding of SAP business processes, configurations, and customizations.
• Experience with PMO support functions, including project tracking, reporting, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SAP consultants, business users, and IT infrastructure teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex test scenarios and resolve issues effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project needs.

Salary:
AED 30,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
