Job description / Role
Inspect scaffolding activities at site at various location, check scaffolding calculation provided by contractor, highlight issues for correction and ensure scaffold erection in compliance with calculations.
• Ensure that scaffolding activities carried-out by Contractor, Subcontractors and Vendors conform to established requirements, applicable safety instructions and other HSE procedures in all activities.
• Implement the Company’s Technical Referential and applicable local and international codes.
• Monitor scaffolding design and check certification of site structure according to relevant specification and standards.
• Inspect scaffolding structure before and after use in project Construction sites and yards along with its erection with the boundaries to ensure they are suitable for safe use and comply with the relevant industry standards and Company permit to work procedure.
• Inspect and assess the condition of the scaffolding materials and reject damaged, defective, and substandard tools.
• Follow up with Contractors to maintain a record of condition of all scaffolding material and assemblies.
• Provide advice on the suitability of the specialized scaffold supplied by Contractor to meet the health and safety requirements of the Company with respect to design and access in case of plant upset condition.
• Anticipate limitations of space, access in Brown field (SIMOPS) environment while scaffold works in vicinity of live, sensitive equipment’s.
• Review scaffolding calculation provided by contractor and ensure scaffold erection in compliance with calculations.
• Maintain up-to-date records with regards to scaffolding activities, inspection schedules, results, and action plans.
Requirements:
• Secondary School. Bachelor's degree is a plus
• CISRS Qualified as a Scaffolding Supervisor Levels
• Experience in Scaffolding operations, techniques, equipment and safety practices.
• Proficiency in Scaffolding design software and Microsoft office suite.
• Knowledge and experience of Quality Assurance and Improvement.
• Ability to inspect, maintain and store equipment.
