Job description / Role
On behalf of our client, a fin-tech firm based in Dubai, Swisslinx is seeking a SCALA Developer to join their team. This position is to be based in our client’s prestigious offices nearby Trade Center.
In this role, you will work on the development of trading algorithms in financial markets. The function will include the entire lifecycle of a trading algorithm development using Scala, during the back-testing period Python might be asked to be used. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute their ideas to the team and develop their understanding of capital markets trading microstructure.
Requirements
Required qualifications:
• Expert in Scala and Python programming
• Knowledge in Git, Azure DevOps is a must
• Machine Learning, Data science or some Data engineering background is a plus
• Knowledge in unit and integration tests using JUnit, Cucumber (Gherkin), customized Java
• APIs and in libraries like Apache Spark and Gradle
• Curious, autonomous, problem-solving and team spirit oriented.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or IT related field.
• Speak English fluently.
