Come make history with a new Amazon expansion. In 2017, Amazon acquired Souq.com operating in the Middle East and North Africa. We are seeking a talented leader to take on a critical role within our [UAE, KSA, Egypt] business. This person will have responsibility for key Amazon integration efforts in the retail business, including driving selection acquisition, instock, and implementing key processes to scale the current business.
To lead the regional center of excellence and partner with the country leaders to own goals around selection, margin, and process adoption
Act as a leader across the organization to drive key selection and instock inputs, seeding retail fundamentals to spin the Amazon flywheel
Working with Amazon teams from Seattle and regionally in the Middle East, implement key processes and best practices to achieve business goals around selection and vendor margin
Lead the country WBR process with Finance
Partner with Seattle teams to drive Amazon process adoption and key trainings
Create network of peers across Souq countries to share learnings and drive best practices across the region to increase efficiency
Drive launch of high value growth programs in partnership with local and Seattle teams to deliver improved customer experience
Analyze the business and key growth drivers. Make recommendations to senior leadership on strategy and direction.
Consult with the local team on strategic vendor/supplier negotiations
Act as a role model to insist on the highest standards and instill Amazon culture
Lead the migration to Amazon vendor central
Work with the VSP team after migration
This person will report into the central commercial organization in Dubai and based in Dubai with extensive travel to KSA, and Egypt.
Experience leading teams, both directly and through influence
Ability to deal with a high level of ambiguity
Experience driving large-scale process improvements across organizations
Vendor and VSP experience preferred
Strong technical background preferred
Experience navigating and delivering results in complex, matrixed organizations
Amazon retail experience
