ROLE SUMMARY
The Group Senior Accountant will be accountable for reviewing, understanding, reconciling and documenting all such transactions across all Averda entities. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for providing qualitative analysis and implementing policies and procedures.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Responsible for reviewing, understanding, reconciling and documenting of Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP) and Intercompany (IC) transactions across all Averda entities
• Review and correct entries for all open items in the month end balance sheet reconciliations
• Provide appropriate mechanisms for ongoing reconciliation and review
• Ensuring timely and effective reporting of any system/data issues which impact delivery
• Perform variance analysis of key accounts for high visibility on the movement of their balances
• Balance aging review, analysis and action
• Provision/write-off review, analysis and action
• Bank reconciliation review and analysis
• Preparation, review and implementation of all AR, AP, IC policies and procedures. This includes regular updates depending on changes to the process
• Drive initatives on streamlining activities
• Working as an Interface between the Finance teams and Auditors
• Supplier Vendor Master file management (supplier creation, payment terms, etc…)
• Item Master file management

PERFORMANCE MEASURES/SUCCESS CRITERIA
• Timely and effective closing and reporting
• Quality of review and analysis
• Implementation of AR, AP, IC policies and procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 6-8 years professional experience in Accounting, with 2-3 years in Finance and Accounts process and 2-3 years in Audit
• Chartered Accountant Qualified
• Strong IFRS knowledge

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Ability to produce and present financial information to be used at all levels of the organisation
• Have a methodical and organized process orientated approach with rigorous attention to detail
• Be proactive in identifying potential problems and developing solutions
• Strong interpersonal skills to work sensitively within a multucultural environement
• Data entry skills
• Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge in any ERP Applications like Oracle, SAP , Peoplesoft etc.
• Excellent written and spoken English
