Senior Accountant

Job description / Role

Our Client, a multinational construction company is seeking a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting all functions the finance team. The main focus areas are as follows:

- Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Assist with preparation of annual statutory financial statements
- Assist with month end process including intercompany reconciliations, P&L analytics, Balance Sheet reconciliations and closure of GL.
- Preparation of general journals and GL adjustments.
- Assist with SOX and other regulatory compliance
- Assist with preparation of management accounts, cash flows and board reports
- Assist with monthly Group reporting including preparation of supporting schedules and presentation.
- Develop professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Preparing Ad hoc reports for the Middle East and Group finance teams.
- Provide general support and assistance to other team members

Requirements

- Strong technical accounting skills and ability to apply International Accounting Standards
- Verbal and written English communication skills
- Attention to Detail
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Should have knowledge of MS Office
- Prior construction experience is an added advantage.
- Experience 5 years +

Qualifications

- Educated to Finance/ Accounting degree level.
- Qualified accountant (ACCA/ ACA/ CA/ CPA)
