Job description / Role
Position Title: Senior Accountant
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: up to 10K AED all-inclusive, depending on experience and qualifications

About the Client:
A well-established group of companies with expertise in diversified business units such as technology, healthcare, real estate, tourism & hospitality.
Job Description:
- Responsible for day-to-day accounting such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Pricing, FA and MIS reporting.
- Handle petty cash, prepare invoices and receipts
- Prepare cheques and bank transfers along with supplier statements and reconciliation
- Send an Ageing report fortnightly to Key Account Managers, follow up with clients for pending and about to be due invoices
- Conduct month-end / annual hard closing of the books and monthly general ledger reconciliations
- Independently prepare P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements by 5th, 7th and 10th of every month
- Handle audits, pass standard JV for provisions and accruals, pass prepaid JV and prepare MIS
- Negotiate with Suppliers/Vendors, Insurance Provider, Commission Schemes, etc.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Up to 35 years old and below
- Bachelor of Commerce preferably Inter CA
- Minimum 4 years of experience in core day to day accounting such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Pricing, FA, MIS reporting preferably from FMCG / Food distribution companies
- Should be able to independently prepare P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
- Well versed with IFRS, VAT and Corporate Tax.
- Accuracy in whatever the person executes/delivers be it MIS reports, Financial Statements.
- Strong commercial acumen and should be able to solve problems professionally
- Excellent skills in MS Excel - Lookup Functions, Pivot tables, Filters, Graphs, Goal Seek, Validation etc.
