Senior Accountant

The job responsibilities are as below:
1. VAT filling, compliance, and report generating.
2. Responsible for all areas relating to the general ledger, and fixed assets accounting.
3. Pre-payments, Lease Agreements.
4. Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
5. Oversee the daily accounting activities required to maintain the company’s general ledger in all aspects.
6. Ensure all system and bank transactions are properly supported, documented, and entered in a timely manner and as per company policies.
7. Maintain an organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions and all journal entries.
8. Prepare all kinds of accounting statements.
9. Ensure completion and review of all post-close reconciliations (main balance sheet account reconciliations).
10. Support month-end and year-end close processes along with the inventory process.
11. Identify gaps in the checklist and report new entries/edits to the line manager.

Requirements

FMCG Distribution company based in Sharjah is looking for Senior Accountant as per the below requirements:
1. CA certification is a must.
2. The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the same role in the UAE.
3. Excellent knowledge of IFRS and GAAP is required.
4. Hands-on experience with accounting software - SAP Business One is preferred.
5. Sound knowledge of taxation laws in the UAE.
6. Critical thinking with an eye for details to identify patterns and a problem-solving attitude is essential to deliver meaningful and actionable insights.
