Job description / Role

- Analyze financial information to summarize our financial status, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate in setting financial standards and participate in the forecasting process to align with our strategic goals.
- Review existing accounting systems and procedures, suggesting modifications to enhance functionality and compliance.
- Lead and mentor our team of accounting assistants and bookkeepers, fostering their professional growth.
- Spot discrepancies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and optimize spending.
- Ensure all practices align with GAAP principles, maintaining the highest standards of financial reporting.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable to maintain financial integrity.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and budgets in accordance with established timelines.
- Direct internal and external audits to uphold our commitment to transparency and compliance.
- Contribute to the goal-setting process for the department, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and vision.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely reporting.
- Provide technical support and expert advice on management accounting practices.
- Plan, assign, and review the work of your team to maintain high standards of performance.
- Produce clear and accurate accounting reports that highlight our financial performance, sharing your insights with the team.
- Assist in tax audits and the preparation of tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with our Finance Manager and Chief Accountant to continuously improve our financial procedures.
- Develop and document robust business processes and accounting policies to strengthen our internal controls.

- Proven experience of minimum of 2 years as Senior Accountant.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Experience managing a small team of accounting professionals and handling audits.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting procedures and principles. Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial information.
- Proven experience in general ledger functions, financial reporting, and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Professional certification such as ACCA / MBA Finance Preferred.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially in MS Dynamics and Excel.

Salary:
AED 6,000 to 9,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
