Senior Accountant

Job description / Role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join a leading food and confectionery company located in Al Quoz, Dubai.

The ideal candidate is someone who is truly an expert in accounting and financial management, capable of handling everything from bookkeeping and supplier payments to P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all accounting activities, including AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Manage supplier payments, invoicing, payroll, and financial transactions with precision.
• Prepare and analyze monthly P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Provide management with clear financial insights, forecasts, and cost control strategies.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, and management to maintain financial integrity and transparency.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 5+ years of solid accounting experience in a similar role.
• Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Strong command of accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar).
• Excellent knowledge of UAE accounting standards, VAT, and compliance.
• High level of accuracy, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
