Senior Accountant

Job description / Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic construction company based in Abu Dhabi. This pivotal role involves overseeing financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting strategic financial planning to drive the company’s growth and compliance.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Coordinate and lead financial audits, liaising with external auditors.
- Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with local UAE tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers to track project costs and financial performance.
- Implement and improve accounting policies and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the finance team in financial analysis and month-end closing activities.

Required for a construction company in Abu Dhabi:

- Holds Bachelor Degree and Masters Degrees
- Holds Diploma in UAE Corporate Tax Law
- Holds Diploma in UAE VAT Law
- Minimum 10 years experience in UAE
- Fluent in English
