Job description / Role
On behalf of this global professional services group we are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to provide 6 months service during a very busy period of time. This a large, corporate company that is made up of several divisions affiliated to various business including banking, insurance, manufacturing, consumer, industrial and retail industries. Working with the Technical Accounting and Reporting Manager to the Global Corporate Finance Function, you will be involved in a growing, ever changing and professional business based in Dubai.
Prime responsibilities will be coordination and completion of the month end process including month end, quarter close and year end closing processes, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing AP, data entry, invoicing, and preparation of monthly bank reconciliations. Additionally, monitoring accruals and prepayments and liaising with local accounting firms to ensure that US GAAP and SOX compliance are adhered to will form the responsibilities of this role. All entries are made on the Oracle system and balance sheet submissions are via Hyperion. In addition there will be reviews of interoffice transactions and ad hoc reports at management request. There will also be interaction and daily liaison with internal and external auditors and dealing with ad hoc taxation and legal financial matters.
Requirements
Our client is seeking candidates with an immediate availability and ideally those with sponsorship from their spouse. You should possess a relevant finance qualification, with a preference for CA and have full understanding of US GAAP and SOX accounting standards, with tax experience a distinct advantage. You will also be a candidate with excellent attention to detail and a great time management.
