Senior Accountant - Arabic Speaker

Job description / Role

Inspire Selection is recruiting a ‘Senior Accountant’ for our financial services client in the DIFC. This business has a globally recognised brand name and is relocating several functions from the UK office to Dubai. This is a newly created position.

Responsibilities

• Preparing all financial statements for legal entity
• Analyses financial reports and records, and may make studies or recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets and expenditures
• Business forecasting and planning for coming year
• Monthly P&L review and commentary to MD
• Review of allowance accounts, write offs and potential credit losses
• Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
• Ensure department is ready for internal and external audits
• Make recommendations for changes in policies and procedures to correct accounting related problems and processes.
• Be responsible for continuous improvement objectives for the department
• Participate in accounting system development, determining specifications, testing and implementation

Salary:
AED 35000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Big 4 experience – at least 4+ years up to a mid/senior level
• Fully qualified CPA/ACCA or equivalent
• Experience within financial services sector
• Understanding of DIFC/DFSA
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Bilingual Arabic/English – fluent/native level
• Highly ambitious
• Someone who always seeks to add value
