Senior Accountant - Contract

Job description / Role

We have an urgent contract/temp Senior Accountant role – immediate start – based in DIFC (2 days working from home).

This role will support the Finance Director and take ownership of key financial responsibilities, including:

• Preparing and managing cash flow, ensuring effective regional funding coordination.
• Managing all banking functions, including bank mandates and bond requirements.
• Developing strong relationships with corporate banks and group treasury.
• Maintaining the IFRS 16 lease register, ensuring accurate data in the database and timely information flow to Group HQ.
• Preparing monthly VAT returns
• Managing Capex forecasting, working closely with operations, procurement, and the other accountant to ensure smooth cash planning for capital expenditures.
• Preparing accruals and prepayments.
• Collaborating with Credit Control and AP teams to maintain strong daily cash flow planning.
• Controlling and maintaining folder structures and content for monthly corporate, HQ, and audit reports.
• Assisting with regional audit requirements
• Ensuring timely filing and record-keeping.
• Handling WHT

• 10+ years’ experience in a Finance role;
• MBA / ACCA / CPA
• Fluent English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Technically strong – UAE VAT, banking, WHT, cashflow, forecasting => all essential

Salary:
AED 22,000 to 24,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
