Senior Accountant (Female)

Job description / Role

Our client is an entrepreneur who saw a gap in the marketplace for a rapidly growing business.

Based in JLT, you would be the sole accountant for this dynamic company who is hiring into their finance department for the first time. Historically the accounts have been outsourced, effectively this is therefore a start-up finance department, and will be a very ‘hands-on’ role.

The successful candidate should be able to engage with the organization and handle, prepare, compute, manage and analyze all accounting data, in order to provide quantitative information on performance, financial position, solvency, liquidity and cash flows of the business.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budget and financial forecasting, financial reports including balance sheet, profit/loss statements, cash flow statement, and schedules, periodic reports etc.
• Conduct month-end and year-end close process
• Collect, analyze and summarize account information
• Invoice recording, payments, statements reconciliations
• Petty cash expenses recording and replenishment
• Credit card transactions recording and reconciliation
• VAT accounting, bank reconciliation, payroll accounting and process
• Coordination and completion of audits
• Establish and continuously improve processes and procedures, covering for receptionist when on lunch break etc

Salary:
AED 13,000 to 16,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Females – our client is currently focusing on a gender diversification
• Min 2 years experience of working in Dubai, with local VAT experience
• Part or fully qualified accountant
• Analytical and attention to detail
• Corporate Finance, Auditing, Accounting and Reporting
• Fluent in English
• Advanced Excel
• 2+ auditing experience plus 5+ years accounting experience
• Passionate about adding value
• Empathic, outgoing and possess strong interpersonal skills
• Proactive, well organized and structured
