Senior Accountant Fixed Assets and Project

Job description / Role

We're currently hiring a finance professional to join our team as Senior Accountant Fixed Assets and Projects,

Responsible for accurate & timely:
- Accounting & reporting of Fixed Assets, Capital Expenditure, Depreciation, Disposals in accordance with relevant IFRS accounting standards & Etisalat Accounting Manual.
- Submission of Depreciation Forecasts/Planning.
- Preparation of quarterly insurance returns.

Responsible to arrange the:
- Bi-annual stock-takes across Etisalat warehouses and stores.
- Fixed asset verification exercise on an annual basis.

Key team member contributing to various transformation projects lead by the Director of Fixed Assets/Projects Accounting

Line manager responsibilities for 2 accountants within the team

Requirements

- Ideally you would be a Qualified Accountant with Professional Accountancy qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA or CIMA or MBA with good understanding of applicable IFRS.
- Applicants with Highly proficient with systems - ORACLE Fixed Assets, Project & GL modules, Experience / understanding of Telco Capex, Project & Accounting of Non-Current Assets will be given an added advantage.
- 3-5 years experience in Fixed Assets and Projects Accounting in Telecoms or comparable large organization.
