Senior Accounting Manager

Role Overview:
As a Senior Accounting Manager at Scancruit, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our accounting functions, including financial reporting, tax compliance, VAT, pension schemes, and managing the DMCC portal. You will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our organization and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, including VAT.
- Administer pension schemes and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Utilize QuickBooks for all accounting tasks and maintain accurate records.
- Manage the DMCC portal for company registration, renewals, and other compliance-related activities.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Stay updated with the latest accounting standards and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is highly preferred.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accounting Manager or similar role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations, VAT, and pension schemes.
- Experience with the DMCC portal and understanding of DMCC compliance requirements.
- Experience working in a Scandinavian or Northern European company is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
