Senior Architect / Project Leader

Our Leading Global Design Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced consultant Senior Architect / Project Leader to join their team in Dubai, UAE to work on high profile and iconic new build projects in the Emirates. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Architect / Project Leader with proven expertise in leading multi-disciplinary design teams through all project stages, from concept to delivery, with a consistent focus on quality, functionality, and international standards compliance. Bringing a results-oriented leadership style with a deep understanding of project delivery systems and construction project management and recognized for designing and managing complex projects for high profile clients and government bodies

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity, employed by our client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the Lead Architect and management staff
• Prepare drawings, specifications, presentations, reports, cost estimates, and construction material recommendations
• Assist in preparing and administering concept, schematic, detailed design, and construction documents
• Adapt plans according to circumstances and resolve any arising issues to keep within project timelines and budgets
• Ensure all work is carried out according to specified standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations
• Research and recommend building products for value and efficiency
• Produce building plans using CAD software and technical drawing tools when required
• Ensure designs align with client requirements, including budget and timelines
• Lead the design development process from concept to construction documentation, overseeing multidisciplinary teams
• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to integrate architectural solutions
• Serve as Project Leader or Design Lead, overseeing the full project lifecycle from client briefing through design delivery, value engineering, and contract administration
• Monitor project progress, manage deliverables, and mitigate risks through proactive leadership
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization
• Act as the primary liaison with clients, government agencies, and approval authorities to ensure project alignment with regulatory requirements
• Lead presentations, design reviews, and incorporate feedback to refine design outcomes
• Support business development by contributing to bids, proposals, and presentations
• Ensure compliance with international and regional building codes and sustainability guidelines
• Conduct quality control reviews and ensure all designs meet client expectations and regulatory standards
• Contribute to defining strategic design approaches, resourcing plans, and project delivery methodologies
• Contributing towards project budgeting and procurement
• Expertise in adapting designs and strategies based on project and client-specific needs

• Minimum Bachelor s Degree in Architecture. MSc preferred
• A minimum of 15 years postgraduate experience in Architecture with a key focus on iconic regional projects.
• Strong track record of managing complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with client goals, timelines, and budgets
• Comprehensive understanding of project delivery methods, from feasibility studies to handover, including construction documentation, contract administration, and post occupancy evaluations
• Comprehensive stakeholder management and engagement skills to drive relationships and business development opportunities.
• Leadership of cross-functional design and delivery teams
• Ability to work within a team, mentor, and support colleagues while maintaining leadership roles
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines
• Must be a proactive self-starter, flexible, resourceful, and innovative
• Strong organizational skills with a focus on maintaining high levels of professionalism and integrity
• Team player with a willingness to help and learn

Salary:
AED 30,000 to 35,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
