Senior Architectural Technologist

Job description / Role

Leading international Architecture firm are hiring senior Architectural Technologists on largescale new build projects in Dubai who will be responsible for implementing the project plan and ensuring all items of project deliverables are delivered on time.

• Responsible for monitoring design and construction documentation and maintain technical excellence on all projects.
• Aiding the Lead Architect with all aspects of design and technical drawing development, authority compliance and code compliance, meeting the brief, writing and collating NBS specification under direction with the Lead Architect. Coordination with all sub consultant packages. Review of all drawing packages to ensure full coordination and technical excellence is achieved prior to issue. Assist the design architect with sourcing suitable materials and construction systems in line with the architectural design intent
• This person will oversee technical drawings teams daily use of systems to ensure project and operational standards and processes are upheld. Chair consultant meetings, coordinating services and managing sub consultants programme and NOC Tracking schedules.
• Overall project management and team management, with internal colleagues and teams, contributing to internal staff reviews and new recruitment hires.
• Assist with the handing over of design projects from the design teams to the post contract teams and Ensure constant communication with the post contract team and advise on site related issues. Review and advise on specialist sub contractors design and shop drawings. Liaise with post contract team to ensure any alterations or amendments on site are as per local authority regulations.
• Ensure issuance of relevant ‘For Construction’ drawings and documents at the appropriate time to the site team and Contractor. Assist the Technical Manager in monitoring lessons learnt from all projects and ensure these items are immediately fed back in to the pre and post contract teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ working experience in an Architectural Practice, most recently ideally working in Dubai market, or Middle East market/projects.
• Degree in Architecture from a recognised international university and CIAT registration preferred
• Strong proficiency in AutoCad and Revit
• Self motived and flexible
• Report writing, communication and presentation skills
• Excellent communication skills to drive team, manage external consultants and contribute to a hard working, enjoyable team environment.
