Job description / Role
CLIENT
Linum Consult's client is an international equipment dealer for the mining and construction sectors. They are looking for a Senior Buyer to oversee the sourcing and supply of spare parts, to be based in Dubai.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Seeking partnerships with brokers, traders, factories, and dealers to facilitate the spare parts purchases
• Creating and managing the supplier relationship
• Establishing a successful sourcing network in terms of costs and deadlines
• Negotiating the best prices possible and ensuring deadlines are well-optimised
• Maintaining the commercial relationships with central purchasing
• Establishing offers for end customers
• Setting up and following the smooth running of the logistics process
• Tracking sales until delivery
• Conducting market research to remain in constant competition with other traders and brokers
Requirements
PROFILE
• University degree in Commerce, Economics, or Business Administration
• At least 10 years’ experience as a Buyer, with technical knowledge of heavy machinery, forklifts, earthmoving equipment, etc.
• Excellent financial and business acumen such as basic operations, percentages, margins, etc.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
• The candidate must be fluent in English, with any French language skills an additional bonus
