Role Summary:

The Senior Channel Development Manager plays a critical role in shaping and driving the growth of the Measurement & Controls (M&C) business in the region. The role consists of three key focus areas that span across varied commercial activities; (a) the leadership and development of M&C's indirect sales portfolio, (b) driving the market and competitive analyses and strategy, and (c) driving commercial effectiveness across the portfolios through the development of the appropriate tools

Essential Responsibilities:

- Indirect Sales Management
- Develop a channels strategy and implement a sales plan for assigned channel/distributor, aimed at achieving incremental sales turnover and financial return, within the most cost-effective route and time-frame. Target new business accounts and opportunities as well as developing existing customers
- Actively manage the relationship with assigned distributors to ensure alignment with company objectives and drive operating plan execution and performance metrics required
- Maintain a high level of technical and commercial competency on relevant products, techniques and applications
- Own and deliver financial performance for the channels portfolio
- Identify potential channels, qualify, recruit them through appointment process gaining necessary approvals and P support, on-board channels, train reps, and evaluate channel effectiveness
- Develop and manage relationships with channels and end user sales team, provide transactional support, introduce GE programs and commitments Business Intelligence & Strategy
- Develop a thorough understanding of the regional market dynamics and competitive environment across the M&C portfolio including but not limited to: dynamics and trends in the relevant industry verticals within the region; regional customer analysis; competitive environment & market sizing by segment; political, economic and regulatory issues
- Commercial Excellence & Commercial Development
- Develop & drive commercial performance metrics across the M&C portfolio
- Work with other product companies at BHGE to uncover and realize revenue synergy potential

Requirements

Qualifications / Requirements:

- Engineering degree. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in sales, commercial and/or marketing with demonstrated command of relevant tools and techniques
- Demonstrated understanding of the broad O&G and Power markets, regional business climate and practices
- Demonstrated knowledge of the sales & commercial process. Understanding of contract management preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong inter-personal and leadership skills. Ability to work across functions and organizational boundaries to quickly mobilize stakeholders and resources

Desired Characteristics:

- Minimum 10 years' experience in sales, commercial and/or marketing with demonstrated command of relevant tools and techniques
- Demonstrated understanding of the broad O&G and Power markets, regional business climate and practices
- Demonstrated knowledge of the sales & commercial process. Understanding of contract management preferred.
