Primary Objectives / Responsibilities:
- Gathers data from multiple sources and prepares analyses, calculations, etc.
- Assists with recommendations and helps create final documentation.
- Determines technical issues, defines alternate solutions, establishes pros and cons for multiple solutions, and makes recommendations to support official project documents such as technical queries, technical deviations, etc.
- Creates final documentation incorporating all relevant information and pursues internal authorization.
- Ensures technical integrity of the civil structural deliverables through the implementation of checking and design review activities.
Performs discipline specific design and drafting services such as:
- Ensuring the project scope is clear and that changes to scope comply with project change management processes;
- If required, participates in studies and analyses and recommends actions;
- Prepares engineering drawings and documentation;
- Ensures all drawings and documents are checked in accordance with Worley checking procedures;
- Participates in project reviews as required.
Quality Assurance:
- Work within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems.
Safety:
- Responsible for personal safety and working within the Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Trade apprenticeship, certificate, diploma, advance diploma of engineering technology in civil or structural discipline.
- Industry Specific Experience:
- Relevant years of experience in green and brown field oil and gas related civil / structural projects.
Job Specific Knowledge:
- Personnel shall have the specified minimum project experience in mainly oil and gas/refinery or petrochemicals and shall know the applicable engineering codes and standards.
- Preparation of drawings for the concrete and steel structures using software like ACAD and Microstation.
- Preparation of reinforcement detail drawings for the concrete structures.
- Preparation of site grading drawings.
- Interaction with other departments for clarifications on information relevant to the drawing to be prepared.
- Maintaining records of drawings and other documents as assigned by the discipline manager, lead or senior engineer.

- Able to work in a diverse team.
- Able to work effectively in small to large multi-disciplinary teams and share and transfer knowledge.
- Good English communication skills (spoken and written).
- A person of integrity who is trusted by others and consistently honors their commitments.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups.
- Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn and continuously improve on performance.
- Able to work on multiple projects of various size and complexity.
