Senior Civil / Structural Designer

Job description / Role

Responsibilities

• Specialist designer in design and detailing of civil and structural works of oil and gas projects.
• Must have hands-on experience in concrete, structural steel, underground drainage, and layout drawing preparation for EPC and FEED projects.
• Modelling experience in SP3D and experience in Navisworks, SPR, E3D, PDS, and PDMS platform is a must.
• Knowledge in specification and design basis.
• Ensure that works comply with the American codes and standards.
• Experience in preparation of MTO through XL spreadsheet will be a plus point.
• Be responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance.
• Carry out work in accordance with Wood and project health, safety, environmental, and quality systems.
• Maintain the required technical quality of work.
• Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the change control process.
• Maintain planning on all work scopes.
• Provide technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as required.
• Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed schedule.
• Keep up to date with technical developments.
• Review, prepare, and check work output of discipline assigned personnel.
• Prepare estimates and assist in their review.
• Maintain good communication with the team and client.
• Maintain discipline filing system.
• Encourage and provide lateral learning within the project.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma in engineering in civil or structural or ITI.
• Minimum 9 to 14 years post-graduate experience.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in the designation.
• Modelling experience in SP3D and experience in Navisworks, SPR, E3D, PDS, and PDMS platform is a must.
