Objectives and Role Profile

- The job purpose of the Construction HSE Officer is to support the Head of Construction HSE in the review, monitor and provide professional advice and guidance to the Construction Management department and contractors in their compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legal, regulatory and best practice requirements.

Key Tasks and Performance Indicators

Core Responsibilities:

- Supporting the promotion of a “Zero Accidents” philosophy throughout the Programme Management Division
- Supporting the implementation of processes and procedures for the effective management of Health, Safety and Environmental activities within construction programme.
- Providing input and data to the Head of Construction HSE for the periodic reporting on HSE Statistics and status to Project Teams and Senior Management including highlighting of any overdue actions and issues.
- Verifying that field practices are compliant with the processes and procedures through audits, site visits and inspections and providing corrective actions to the relevant Area Construction Manager.
- Supporting incident investigations and providing feedback and corrective actions for implementation.
- Supporting the provision of training and guidance to Programme Management personnel on Construction HSE related subjects.
- Supporting the implementation of Construction HSE improvement programmes and projects to improve HSE performance.

Requirements

Qualifications/Experience/Competencies

- >10 years experience
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in related field
- Documented training in Construction HSE
- Holder of appropriate licenses / certificates to act as the Construction HSE lead within the Abu Dhabi HSE sector
