Senior Construction Manager

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead construction management activities for a major high-speed rail project in the UAE. This role involves overseeing civil works, rail infrastructure, and associated structures, while managing multidisciplinary teams and joint venture partners to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, including civil, structural, track works, bridges, tunnels, and stations
• Oversee contractors, subcontractors, and JV partners, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and contractual requirements
• Coordinate construction sequences with design teams and consultants, resolving technical and operational issues
• Monitor project progress, budgets, resources, and performance, including reporting and risk mitigation
• Approve subcontractor plans, facilitate coordination meetings, and ensure alignment with master schedules
• Ensure smooth integration between design, construction, and commissioning

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum 15 years of experience in construction management, including major civil works and rail projects
• Proven experience in joint venture (JV) project environments
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, complex interfaces, and multidisciplinary coordination
• Experience in the UAE or GCC region preferred
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications & Skills
• High-speed rail, metro, or large transportation project experience
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and claims management
• Proficient in project monitoring tools, scheduling, and reporting
• Multinational project experience with complex stakeholder coordination
