Senior Contracts Engineer

Job description / Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Contracts Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a Senior Contracts Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contracts and commercial activities for construction projects. This role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage contractual risks.

Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and analyzing contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Negotiating and finalizing contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Managing and administering all contractual and commercial aspects of construction projects
- Identifying and mitigating contractual risks and disputes
- Preparing and maintaining accurate project cost reports and forecasts
- Collaborating with project teams to ensure effective contract administration and compliance
- Providing guidance and support to project managers and stakeholders on contractual matters
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
- Proven experience as a Contracts Engineer in the construction industry
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, FIDIC and other standard forms of contracts
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex contractual issues and provide practical solutions
- Excellent understanding of commercial and financial principles
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Certification in contract management or professional accreditation is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage

Salary:
AED 15,000 to 25,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
