Senior Controller

Job description / Role

The senior sales and plant controller is a new function within the group, created to support the growth of the Middle East region. In this specific role, you will collaborate with different stakeholders like the Country Manager, Sales and Plant Managers and report to the Business Unit Controller.

Our client is Belgian Food and Beverage Manufacturing company which has been around for over 80 years with 4,000 employees globally. They operate over 10 production sites and deliver worldwide.

Description

* You are the financial single point of contact - responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting the financial performance of the Middle East region - which includes sales and plant activities
* You steer the planning and forecast process for the region, in line with the requirements of the business unit
* Be a full-fledged business partner who drives and supports the decision-making process by identifying opportunities and short and long-term risks
* You challenge existing processes to drive further efficiency and standardization
* Taking ownership of the financial business cases.
* You coordinate the gathering of required financial information, challenge the received information, and synthesize the outcome of the financial business plan towards local and business unit management

Requirements

* Master's degree / Accounting qualification with 5 - 10 years relevant experience in senior controlling positions
* Good English language skills (written and spoken)
* Strong IT knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
* Works in an independent way, combines data crunching skills with high level of thinking
* Working in a structured approach, while being conscious of milestones and deadlines, acts accordingly, and approaches work in an efficient manner
* Strong communication towards relevant stakeholders - peers and management
* Demonstrates a "can-do" spirit, ownership, and commitment
