About the role:
Are you ready to take ownership of a mission-critical role at the intersection of IT, security, and crypto custody? As Senior Custody & IT Specialist, you will help shape and manage the technical foundation of our company based in ADGM, Abu Dhabi. Your focus will be on building secure and scalable systems that protect digital assets in a regulated and high-stakes environment. You will lead our custody infrastructure, oversee wallet security, manage vendor integrations, and ensure our technology meets FSRA requirements. In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Executive Officer and play a key part in our global growth. You’ll be joining a collaborative and fast-moving team that’s pushing the frontier of crypto.

You will have the following responsibilities:

• Define and implement the firm’s technology vision and architecture to support virtual asset activities
• Oversee all software, infrastructure, and platform development, including API integration and vendor management
• Ensure the integrity, segregation, and security of digital asset wallets, private keys, firm systems, client data, and blockchain interfaces in compliance with FSRA’s operational risk and cybersecurity requirements.
• Maintain clear policies, access controls, and disaster recovery plans for all critical systems and custody infrastructure
• Closely collaborate with the high-performing tech teams across the group in engineering, DevOps, QA, and product management.
• Act as the technical lead for custody matters and coordinate with Compliance, Risk, and other internal teams
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, and contribute to business continuity planning
• Represent the firm in technical discussions with vendors, regulators, and external stakeholders

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• At least 5 years in technology leadership, ideally in fintech, virtual assets, or regulated financial services
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in digital asset custody, including wallet technologies (hot, warm, cold) and key management systems
• Familiarity with platforms such as Fireblocks, HexTrust, BitGo, or similar custody solutions
• Strong understanding of blockchain technologies, infrastructure security, and cryptographic principles
• Knowledge of FSRA requirements around cybersecurity, client asset protection, and operational resilience is a plus
• Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects across engineering and operations
• A structured and forward-thinking approach with strong initiative, ownership, and a collaborative mindset
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to translate technical topics for diverse stakeholders
