Senior Cyber Strategy Consultant

Job description / Role

Senior Cyber Strategy Consultant required for a leading management consultancy. The role can be based in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi and offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about cyber security. The ideal candidate should have strong relevant academic background and some regional experience. The role may require extensive travel to KSA with anywhere between 4 - 5 days a week on the client site weekly.

Key Role:
- Apply expertise in Cybersecurity for technical architecture, systems and network security, security program development, change management, organization assessment and design, human capital, strategic planning, talent management, and general management consulting to government and commercial clients.
- Work closely with clients to solve key Cybersecurity strategy and workforce challenges.
- Synthesize and analyze complex information and work with the broader team to develop high–quality interim and final deliverables in a fast–paced environment.
- Assist with building and growing existing Cybersecurity offerings and delivering client engagements, including marketing and proposal development and delivery and execution and working in a team environment.

Requirements

- Experience in the Cybersecurity field, including conducting security and risk assessments, developing mitigations, and developing Cybersecurity strategies, plans, and roadmaps to solve organizational–level security problems
- Knowledge of network fundamentals, including OSI model and TCP/IP protocol suite
- Knowledge of scripting languages, data extraction techniques, databases, and their role in aiding in analysis
- Ability to synthesize and analyze multiple views and data sets
- Ability to analyze data and produce high quality analytical reports
- Ability to provide assessments and implementations of solutions to meet network security requirements and modernization efforts
- Ability to ensure the successful performance of vulnerability and risk analyses on computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle
- BS degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or Data Science

Additional Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in multiple domains of Cybersecurity, risk management, and information systems and health, financial services, government, and energy sectors preferred
- Experience with advanced telecommunications, including LAN, WAN, routers, data communications, and connectivity
- Experience with reading and implementing results from vulnerability scanning tools, IDS, IPS, HIPS, and associated management tools, developing alerts, and setting policies in IDS, IPS, and SIEM systems
- Experience with packet analysis and the associated tools, including Wireshark and Ethereal
- Knowledge of standard network protocols and ports and incident handling procedures from initial alert and reporting to mitigation and ticket closeout
- Ability to research and present findings on newly discovered network threats and articulate the level of risk they may represent to network security
- MBA or MS degree in Business, Cybersecurity, CS, or a related field
- Advanced Cybersecurity Certifications, including GSLC, CAP, CISM, CISSP, CEH, or CCSP
