Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to design, implement, and optimize ALFIT Insurance’s data infrastructure and analytics capabilities. Reporting to the Head of Data Analytics, you will play a key role in developing scalable ETL pipelines, creating robust data models, and delivering actionable insights across business functions. This role blends strong data engineering skills with a deep understanding of analytics, reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Infrastructure
• Collaborate with IT and vendors to design scalable ETL pipelines across internal and third-party data sources (e.g., core systems, TPAs, reinsurers, CRMs).
• Contribute to the development of cloud-based data warehouse/lakehouse architecture (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Build reusable data models, ensuring consistency across all business domains.
• Ensure high-accuracy integration of policy, claims, coding, and financial data.

Business Analytics & Reporting
• Support the development of operational dashboards and performance KPIs.
• Automate recurring reports and provide ad-hoc data insights to business stakeholders.
• Create clear and effective visualizations using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Assist in analytics frameworks related to pricing, efficiency, and risk metrics.

Data Governance & Compliance
• Implement quality checks, validation rules, and exception handling within ETL workflows.
• Maintain proper documentation on data lineage, definitions, and ownership.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory standards (DHA, IFU, CBUAE) and support audit readiness.

Data Science & Advanced Analytics
• Prepare structured datasets for predictive modeling (e.g., lapse prediction, fraud detection).
• Contribute to model prototyping, evaluation, and feature engineering.
• Leverage internal and external datasets to enrich analytical outcomes.

Key Stakeholders
• Internal: COO, Operations, IT, Sales, Legal, Compliance, Finance
• External: Brokers, Clients, Reinsurers, Consultants, Local Authorities

Decision-Making Authority
• Significant decisions are escalated to the Head of Data Analytics.
• Financial authority aligned with ALFIT Management's established matrix.

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 5–7 years of experience in data engineering or analytics, preferably in insurance or financial services in the UAE.

Technical Skills & Competencies
• Expert in SQL, ETL processes, Power BI/Tableau
• Proficient in Python or R
• Knowledge of UAE regulatory data requirements and insurance data structures (e.g., ICD-10, CPT codes) is a plus
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent verbal and written English communication
• Agile, results-oriented, and collaborative mindset
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
