Senior Demand Planner

Job description / Role

Due to excellent growth this year, this distribution business is currently looking for a Senior Demand Planner to join one of their fastest growing operating units. Our client is passionate about their brands and if you have developed a passion through your experience within supply chain and forecasting then this is a match made in heaven.

As the Demand Planner, you will be:



* Ensuring smooth running of the 12 month rolling forecast in the planning system
* Monitoring both supply and demand to enhance the supply/demand equilibrium
* Improving forecasting accuracy
* Acting as business partner to help influence Marketing & Sales decisions
* Improving lead times
* Reducing overstock
* Reviewing and managing the end to end replenishment process
* Influencing and working collaboratively with other parties internally and externally
* Working towards progression and development on a personal level

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

* Passion and drive
* Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent
* Proven experience in forecasting
* Good understanding of the commercial, purchasing and production functions
* Strong commercial acumen; import and export knowledge is essential
* Strong numerical and IT skills (SAP highly desirable)
* Excellent communication skills
